The park was interested both in making GIS data more easily available to park staff as well as needing to maintain fewer active desktop licenses since many users would be better served with a more streamlined web service. ArcGIS Server with additional functionality provided by the Geocortex extension would satisfy many of these needs. Several demo maps were created to provide examples of themes that could be set up in Server. Users could then create their own maps by zooming to the without needing to create maps from scratch each time. Some of these themes were based on existing ArcMap templates and included transportation, land ownership, and geology.
